We’re rebranding our buses – and we want your input!

We’ve heard you: our current public transport brand isn’t as clear, engaging, or easy to use as it should be. Now’s your chance to help us create something fresh, exciting and uniquely Taranaki.

What's changing?

So, what’s changing?

  • A name that makes sense for everyone.

Some of our bus service names can be confusing. What should we call our bus network? Now’s your chance to suggest a name that truly represents our region and community.

  • A bus experience that feels good

From the way our buses look to how easy it is to find the right information; we’re making improvements to enhance the experience for all users, whether you take the bus daily or just occasionally.

  • Accessibility matters

Public transport should work for everyone, including those with mobility, visual, or cognitive impairments. How can we make it easier and more inclusive for all?

  • Have Your Say!

This rebrand isn’t just about logos and colours - it’s about creating a public transport system that feels right for Taranaki. One that’s easy to use, easy to love and built for our community.

The name

If you could name Taranaki’s public transport system, what would it be and why?

A great name helps people instantly recognise and connect with public transport. If you could name the Taranaki bus network, what would it be and why? Perhaps a dual English/Te Reo name? "Nakilink" is a snappy English name that tells you what the business is about.

Don't see a great need for local theme, but what ever is decided please don't place it or other advertising over the windows.
